DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. DECA enhances the preparation for college and careers by providing co-curricular programs that integrate into classroom instruction, applying learning in the context of business, connecting to business and the community, and promoting competition. Student members leverage their DECA experience to become academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible, and experienced leaders.

  • Friendships and a lot of fun

 

All students who are taking, or have taken, one of the following marketing classes are eligible to join DECA

  • Sports and Entertainment Marketing I and II
  • Hospitality and Tourism 
  • Principles of Business
  • Entrepreneurship I and II
  • Business Management I and II

 

  • Dues are $25 (made payable to CHS).  This allows us to compete at the local and state level
  • We have two service projects planned so far, one in the Fall and one in the Spring
  • Trips will be planned when allowed to do so. Information will be given to paid members
  • Regional Competition: December 2020 (Virtual)
  • State competitions: February 25-27 2021 in Greensboro, NC
  • Meetings will be held monthly, either in person or virtual to accommodate students
